i ordered 2 of these - the price was reasonable and the shipping time was reasonable but both items had a few knicks and scratches on the outside tat i wasnt so fond of

I really liked this nightstand, it was easy to put together, I put it together while i was pregnant, so anyone can do it. It is good quality, I am going to purchase the coordinating pieces next!

 Black Nightstand Lacks QualitySep 19, 2004
I purchased two of these nightstands. While their design is good, the quality of the product is poor. For both of them, the top surface part both came with the same corner cracked off, as if their cartons were dropped from a truck; I called the vendor, and replacement parts are supposedly being sent to me.
As I assembled the first, I noted that the fit is less than perfect: parts that should line up do not. Several of the corner surfaces look worn, exposing the light colored particle board. All surfaces are generally very dusty and dirty, but I haven't tried to clean them up yet with a damp cloth; some of that may be due to the foam blocks that are part of the packaging.
The drawer stops, intended to keep the drawer from being pulled out, impede the smooth opening or closing fo the drawer; after removal, the drawer operates much smoother.
I have assembled many similar furniture items in the same price range from other vendors, and have never had similar problems. I can only conclude that the quality of your product does not attain the level that I expected.

Great Nightstand!May 13, 2004
I just got the nightstand yesterday, and got it together today in less than an hour. Really easy assembly, and looks great once it's all together! The only thing that isn't the best is that the drawer doesn't slide in or out very easily, but it's great for the price!
