great crib!Oct 04, 2008 i agree with the other two reviews-the shipping leaves much to be desired. after having one sent back & a new one sent (all at the manufacturer's expense) because of poor shipping, we got the crib & put it together & have not had a problem since. it is extremely sturdy. nice and heavy. changing the mattress height has not been a problem. haven't had any problem with the paint. still looks new after almost 3 years. am very happy with this purchase.
Paint PeelsJan 09, 2008 The box came beat up in the mail. There were gashes on the crib, and the paint had already started to peel. The crib is sturdy and looks nice, but the white paint Childcraft uses is not adequate. It flakes off if you look at it wrong. The crib won't look nice because of that. Go with the natural wood version.

Childcraft crib reviewApr 12, 2007 I was initially dismayed when I receieved the crib in the mail -- the box was mangled. The sides were hanging open, making it very hard to handle. Thankfully all the parts were there. Assembly was fairly easy -- the directions could be much clearer. A lot of the hardware is tricky to put together. I was pleased with the look of the wood and the detailing. It is a sturdy crib.
