Very poor quality!Sep 23, 2007
I bought this for my new baby girl's room since it was the right dimensions and had a white finish... I wasn't expecting an heirloom piece for the $150 pricetag, but I did expect a quality product. My husband and I are both mechanical engineers and have over-engineered every piece of furniture in our kid's rooms. When the assembly of this bookcase was complete, it literally swayed in the breeze! We even tried to secure it with extra enforcement plates and right angle brackets, and planned to anchor it to the wall, but every time you turned a screw in this bookcase, it would crack... the whole thing is made of particle board!
I would have given it zero stars, but that wasn't an option. I would not recommend anyone buy this who plans on putting it in a child's room, as it is a definite safety hazard!
