These stools are GREAT!!!!Apr 03, 2008 Dont buy these stools!!! Im making a bar and will need more in the future and don't want them all gone... LOL These are great and Im extremly happy! I just hope they keep them around for a while so I can get more.
Good Deal and Good Looking Chair!Mar 29, 2008 We really like these chairs, and had been looking for just the right ones to go in our new sunroom. I want handles and a swivel base this is beautiful wood grain. A plus with the gold on the rung where you feet goes, to save scuff with the wood and Very well made and heavy, goes well with a 42 inch tall, and 30 inch round pub table. Excellent deal!

Fairly poor quality Asian furniture. The reason you don't buy from just a photo.Mar 28, 2008 I purchased 2 of these for our kitchen because the photo and description were attractive. Unfortunately, the quality of the wood was not very high. If you are not careful during assembly, you will easily split the arm rests, as I've seen other customers mention. The dilemma is to leave the arms loose, meaning you can't insert the wooden plugs to cover the screws, or try to tighten them and hope for the best. The pieces simply don't fit together snugly, so you are putting pressure on this lightweight wood as you attempt to tighten the screws.
These were also packed in styrofoam that was pretty smashed up, causing it to get all over the place, as well as into all the small gaps in the furniture itself.
Worth $100? Maybe.
Arms are fragileMar 26, 2008 I bought two of these bar stools for my kitchen counter on an Amazon deal. They arrived in three days in very large boxes (it looked like I received a small washer and dryer). Assembly was very easy and they look VERY NICE. First time I sat in one, the arm snapped right across the hole where the arm mounts to the chair back. Dang! Just as other reviewers had said. I am not sure what to do and am thinking maybe I will just leave the arms off. The chairs are tall (bar height probably) and I may do as another reviewer and take 4" off the bottom of the legs.

Good, except manufacturing problems with arms...Mar 15, 2008 This is a nice bar-stool, and the value is great -- if it just weren't for the manufacturing issues with the arms. Several reviewers have mentioned issues with the left arm-rests. We've received 2 of the 4 stools we ordered, and both have manufacturing issues with the RIGHT arm.
The point where the upper part of the arm attaches to the back-rest is not milled properly and creates a bad connection. As soon as you tighten or rest your arm on the arm-rest it breaks.
Just sent an email to Amazon CS asking for 2 new arms. We'll see how that goes. Clearly the manufacturer needs to fix their process!
UPDATE: In the end though we ended up ordering 4 of these stools. 2 of them had defective arms (one right and one left), and 2 were perfect. Amazon sent a replacement chair and I was able to use the arms from that chair to fix the other 2 broken arms. All in all, good value despite some manufacturing issues.
