"Rustic"Mar 13, 2008 This is one of those products that I have really mixed feelings about. On the one hand, it's just as advertised; 108 lbs. of solid wood...no particle board and no plywood with veneer facing. On the other hand, most buyers would not consider the craftmanship to be "dining room" quality. In essence, the table is a roughly hewn, rustic square table with numerous imperfections that is solidly built but more appropriate for a lanai or screen room. Having said that, I bought it as a game table for chess, backgammon, etc. and for that use it performs well, though a little larger than optimum.
My example is darker than the picture shows and is a pleasant mahogany (not reddish) color. Assembly consisted of attaching the legs with 4 nuts and washers and, given the weight of the table, is a two person job. The real downside to the table is the shipping cost involved with both purchasing and returning, if it's not what you want. At $150 each way you're not likely to be returning this, so make sure you can live with it before clicking.
