This was a great buy. However, it was lighter(color) than I expected.The product is very well constructed and I am sure will last my grandchildren for a long time

First of all, I wanted to let everyone know that you should search "Lipper child table set" here on Amazon, and you will find out that this same set is listed under Lipper International and Amazon ships it for free. It is listed for more $$ (approx. $165), however, free shipping which is a great thing for me living in AK. Also, the Amazon's price of the item fluctuates. I did pay approx. $144.
Now for my review on this same item...And I really did want this... :)
I have now received my 2nd set. The 1st set arrived damaged...noticeable cracks in the wooden table top. (did not have to take everything out of the box to see the cracks on the one end of the table top). So, Amazon was great with sending a replacement. This time the one end of the box was opened. Upon inspection of the items, I could not find any type of hardware to put the table/chairs together. Also, found another crack in the table top. I really wanted to get this table set up and running. Now I have to return this and sorry to say, Amazon cannot do another replacement, however, can issue a return of my money. I will now have to reorder the item and pray that it arrives intact with all that is needed to put it together.
Also, please note that the table is a bit lighter in color (?straw) as to the set you see online.
3 stars is for my headache that I have right now. :) I still love Amazon and it's free shipping...can't beat that!

I love the table it was the perfect size for our three year old and I can see she will be able to use for a few more years because the table is taller the average kid table. It was easy to put together 30 minutes max time. The color match well with my mission furniture. The square table made it easy to tuck into a corner of our family room.

Just what I needed!Feb 08, 2008
I needed something small for my kitchen, a place for my kids to eat, draw etc. I was looking at more expensive options but decided to try something more affordable. This is exactly what we needed. It cleans up nicely and does not look at all cheap. The assembly is pretty straight forward but a little overwhelming when you pull it all out of the box. It took me about 20 minutes with 2 kids observing!
