 Poorly made, even worse customer service.Nov 12, 2008
After reading online reviews of other similar parts, I settled on this. Unfortunately I couldn't get past step one. The smaller parts were mislabeled, leading to about an hour of sorting, and comparing to the tiny pictures in the instructions.
After sorting that issue, I then proceeded to step one. During this step, I found the holes on the board to be drilled out of alignment with the hinges that needed to be attached. This meant making my own holes. Since I didn't have a drill, I decided to call their customer support.
The first person I spoke with didn't try to help me. After explaining that the holes were out of alignment, he tried to talk me through assembly. This royally pissed me off. After speaking with a 2nd person, she said she'd send me 1 replacement part, but it would take 2 weeks to ship it. So, I decided to box it back up and send it back to Amazon as defective.
Do NOT buy this product unless you like to gamble.

The picture of the cabinet looks good, but it is overly complicated to put together. In addition, the pieces don't fit well together. I ended up with quite a few extra parts. The instructions were next to worthless. I ended up giving this two stars (instead of one star) because it does hold DVDs and look relatively close to what the picture suggested it was. I would not recommend this to anyone unless you could get it for less than half the price it currently sells for.

All of my DVD's and VCR tapes fit into this cabinet and it's very attractive. The hardware is nice, antiqued brass, and the magnets on the doors are a perfect strength (not too tight, not too loose.)

I like my media cabinet because it fits with the rest of my furniture, and I received it only 3 days after ordering--Thank you very much--I really like it, the service was fabulous.Everything needs to be assembled these days, but my husband and I had it put together in no time at all.
