Nice design, but...Jan 18, 2008 ...the quality on these isn't as nice as you'd hope. These are particle board wrapped in fake woodgrain plastic that LOOKS like fake woodgrain plastic. The plastic has some air bubbles here and there that needed some burnishing. Also the brown isn't a deep espresso brown, but a lighter, more faded brown. The metal inserts are powdercoated silver, not a brushed metal. I'm OK with that, but just so you, the buyer knows.
One the positive side, they were priced right, and we were able to make a huge wall unit of 12 of them for a few hundred bucks. They look fine from across the room and when there is stuff on the shelves, but as soon as the budget allows, these will find a home in the basement or in the mitts of some college kid who will have bought them on craigslist.
