Like this wine tower a lot!Nov 10, 2008 We don't have much cabinets in and around the kitchen, so we used to put our wines on a shelf above the spices and oils and vinegars...until I got tired of it. I got this wine tower idea in a Crate & Barrel catalog and started to look for one. Only thing is I don't drink so I'm not willing to spend $300 and up on this type of furniture. I looked for one that is fairly priced and well made. They have almost exactly the same wine tower (diff. brand) at Bed Bath & Beyond for quite a bit more. Cost Plus has a good one, too, but again it cost more. So we got this one from Amazon instead and we are happy with it. Everyone that came over our house and saw it admired it. It looks more expensive than it is worth, and pretty well made. I don't recall my husband having a hard time assembling it.
Only problem is they shipped it in the same box that contained the wine tower. There's a part or two of the wine tower that got a bit damaged from shipping. Not too obvious so we didn't return it; besides, it would be quite a hassle to send it back given the weight and size of the package. I just wished Amazon thought of it better. And one advice - make sure you do get free 2-day shipping if a Prime member. The site had a glitch when I was ordering so I had to call them prior to clicking "Place Your Order" and make sure I would get free 2-day shipping as stated on the item's webpage.
